Welcome to the Brontide Bag!

Brontide is a mid-size handbag/crossbody style with optional backpack capabilities. Structured and soft, Brontide is strategically stabilized to stand up on its own while still being soft and easy to sew.

Imperial Requirements

Exterior Vinyl/Faux Leather/Cork/Cotton - 3/4yrd (from 54”WOF) (Ex. two rolls of 18” x 54” with some left over - You will only need 1/2yrd if you are not making the backpack straps)
Liner Material - 1/2yrd (from 45” WOF)
Decovil Light - 1yrd (from 17” WOF) or 1/2yrd from 35” (WOF)
Foam - 1/4yrd (from 20” WOF) (
Medium Weight Fusible Woven Interfacing like SF101 - 1-1/2yrd (from 20” WOF) For a fully Cotton bag: 1yrd SF101 (from 60" WOF) OR 3yrd SF101 (from 20” WOF)
3/4” D Rings - x2 (or x3 if you’re doing the backpack option)
3/4” Swivel Clasps - x4 (or x8 if you’re adding Backpack Straps)
3/4” Strap Slider - x1 or (or x3 if you’re adding Backpack Straps)
Magnetic Snap (around 18mm recommended) - x1
#5 Zipper - 7-1/2” (continuous Zipper Tape), plus 1 Zipper Pull
Rivets - x10 - 17 (8mm post length, two of the rivets may need to be 10mm post length). 8mm or 9mm cap size is best (Up to 17 Rivets may be needed with extra options)
Double Sided Tape (1/4” wide or less is best), Disappearing marking pen or chalk,
Fray Check, Duct Tape, Rivet Installation equipment (press highly recommended)

19mm D Rings - x2 (or x3 if you’re doing the backpack option)
