Welcome to the Hiraeth Handbag. This handbag has beautiful structure, curves and lines that ground the eye and elevate the aesthetic. Hiraeth is equipped with two slip pockets on the exterior, and a slip pocket and zipper pocket on the interior. Carry Hiraeth as a handbag tucked in your elbow, a shoulder bag, or as a crossbody bag, showing off its versatile design. There are endless opportunities for color blocking prints, textures and details which will make a uniquely different bag every time.

The Hiraeth Handbag is deceptively easy to construct with minimal bulk, and the peace of mind that all of Lavender & Twine’s patterns are designed and created on a domestic machine. Also, enjoy a brand new stitchless zipper cap method developed by Erica-Lee Helgerson of Lavender & Twine.

-Exterior Vinyl/Faux Leather/Cork/Leather/Fabric - 1yrd (from 54” WOF)

- Liner Material - 1/2yrd (from 54” WOF)

- Decovil Light OR Thermolam Plus - 1yrd (from 17” WOF) OR 1/2yrd (from 35” WOF)

- Medium Weight Fusible Woven Interfacing like SF101-enough for all cotton materials. For a fully cotton bag:

- 1yrd SF101 (from 60" WOF) OR 3yrds SF101 (from 20” WOF)

- Decovil Heavy/Peltex - Piece no smaller than 12” x 6” (you’ll be cutting this down to the measurement on the cut chart and using the extra to stabilize the rivets/purse feet)

- 1” D-Rings - x2

- 1” Strap Slider - x1

- 1” Swivel Clasps - x2

- 1” Rectangle Rings - x4

- Rivets - 20 (8mm post length)

- #5 Continuous Zipper Tape OR
